Allison began her career at the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, representing indigent clients in felony and misdemeanor cases in two of the state’s most punitive jurisdictions. Over three years, she tried more than 30 cases to verdict, securing 29 full acquittals, while managing up to 200 active matters at a time.
Her strategic litigation work during the COVID-19 pandemic helped secure the pre-trial release of numerous clients held in unsafe and overcrowded jail conditions, drawing on Eighth Amendment and ADA arguments rooted in the landmark Ball v. LeBlanc case litigated by Nilay Vora.
At Robinson & Henry, P.C., Allison developed a broad civil litigation practice, handling disputes involving homeowners’ rights, mortgage fraud, civil theft, and tort claims. She also assessed constitutional claims under Section 1983 and worked closely with experts to build strong cases.
